I had a 12 oz bag of pre cut broccoli florets designed for steaming in the bag that I used but cutting the florets myself would have been easy enough and cheaper. I had a single slice of a sweet red onion already chopped and a couple of green onions that I cut into small pieces. That was a little more than the recipe calls for but I loved the flavor the onions added. I used some really wonderfully sweet seedless red grapes but Kay's recipe says you can use green grapes too. I did not have the nuts but no one noticed. I do think it will enhance the salad to have them though. For the dressing I used red wine vinegar and mayonnaise with olive oil and it tasted great. I’m sure it is a salad I’ll be making for Sunday Pot Luck soon. I hope you try it and let me know what you think. Thanks Kay for sharing your recipe with me and my blog readers.
